Barbara Kieca graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, painter and illustrator. Her paintings are an emotional journey through her emotional world. It is primarily a portrait of a woman through the prism of her feelings, memories, experiences, those overworked and those hidden in the recesses of her soul. Therefore, each of the portrayed figures in the paintings contains a particle of the painter, each of her paintings is a kind of self-portrait, in one we see her eyes, in another her mouth. Her work, is a kind of collage of realistic painting, soft brush strokes and illustrative botanical elements. The magic of these paintings is contained in their decorative forms, which attract the viewer and invite him into the painter’s magical world. Only when we read the title of any of her works will we ask ourselves what behind this beautiful form, what happened in her life. The creative stages are an interweaving of intensive sketching and painting related to experiencing emotions again and a time of silence and reflection on her own feelings and traumas. And finally comes the stage of encapsulating emotions into abstract forms and floral background elements. The viewer sees a work that no longer carries negative energy, but harmony and peace. The art created by Barbara Kieta is an artistic and emotional path, which is a struggle and taming of emotions of a young woman and artist.
