Oil and Plastic on Canvas External artificial world or internal values? Environmental conservation or excessive plastic usage. My artwork delves into multiple themes simultaneously. On one hand, it draws attention to mental health. In our modern world, I see and experience in many places that people conceal their true selves behind certain externalities. Although I understand the psychological reasons behind it, I believe that understanding ourselves would pose the true challenge of our lives and provide solutions to our problems. However, many still refuse to confront this because it would mean facing unpleasant things that require effort and work. I dared to open up my layers and look deeply within myself. Was it simple? No. Was it worth it? Yes. The other issue is environmental conservation. Many still haven’t realized that, according to the current state of humanity, we are still harmful to our environment. We are the only species playing towards our own extinction, which is shocking to me because if humans are capable of thinking, why don’t they see these things? And here is where the two things connect in the picture. Without self-awareness and reflection, there is no chance for development, and thus, we are doomed to destruction. Although I believe that something can still be done, so I will do everything in my power to open people’s eyes.
