The theme of dreams, change, solitude and the search for one’s own path is often found in Piotr Horodyński’s paintings.
The painting “Dreamer” encompasses them all, serving as a painterly allegory of uncovering our destined path and sources of happiness.  Yet, whether we succeed in finding what we are looking for within it remains uncertain. Nonetheless, the crucial aspect lies in attempting, persisting, and continuously striving in our endeavours.

Each moment, each thought, and every experience contribute to shaping and influencing our lives and the choices we make.  Solitude is given significant emphasis, acknowledged as sometimes essential despite our tendency to fear or avoid it. Humans, inherently social beings, according to sociologists, often find themselves alone during pivotal life moments, whether by choice or circumstance. Supposedly, if one cannot be alone with oneself, then one cannot be together with anyone else. For the artist, solitude is not a curse or obligatory hardship; instead, it offers an opportunity for quiet reflection, for introspection, and for discovering one’s path in life.
