I wanted to show space, emptiness, loneliness in this painting. I think nature makes us realize this very well – how small a being man is. A being with his own concerns and plans lost somewhere in the vast world. At the same time, I didn’t want this image to be associated with something sad. I wanted it to be more nostalgic than sad. That’s why I used bright, warm colors, and added some gold at the end, which, however, is not immediately striking – you have to look at the right angle.
